Week 6 Waivers & QB Streamers, Secret of the Ooze

The hopes and the dreams that Antonio Calloway could become. But he gets to play the Chargers. He gets to play Tampa Bay. And then he gets to play Pittsburgh.

And you have to be interested in Higgins is missing time. I mean, yeah, you do. Callaway is a good pickup. It sucks to say that someone, like when you say, oh, this guy's an interesting pickup, pick him up, and then he fails. It really sucks to have to come back again and say, hey.

Callaway's an interesting pickup. Pick him up. Because if he fails again, it's like, you know, fool me once. Look, sometimes you pick up a hitchhiker and they're a cool dude and you guys high five and you share stories, you talk fantasy football. Sometimes you end up in a ditch. What is the point of this story? When you pick up a guy, sometimes it fails. The problem is if it fails on that analogy? Yeah. There's no coming back. Once you're in the ditch, you're done. You don't get to pick up another hitchhiker.

A fair point. Maybe it was a little bit extreme, but I stand by it. I apologize for nothing. Yeah. No, so I would definitely be interested in Callaway. Calloway or Mo Sanoo. Muhammad Sanoo. Muhammad Sanoo for sure. Back-to-back good games. Gets to play Tampa Bay. That's why. That's why. It's Tampa Bay. I don't care about the long-term outlook for waiver wire wide receivers generally. I'm looking at who am I picking up to start because I keep my wide receivers very shallow.

I want to stash, you know, I've been holding Corey Clement for a while. Now, it looks like that paid off. That paid off. That paid off big. So, um, for an irrelevant 015. You know, it's like, oh, great. Congratulations. Congratulations. Yeah, thank you. By the way. Maybe I could trade him. All right. We're, we're going to roll these next ones into a killer instinct combo. Real quick on Muhammad Sunoo. Why are you stopping my killer instinct reference, bro? You're a combo breaker. That's where I should have gone. Yeah, it was a low-hanging fruit. Combo breaker. The truth is, I think Mohammed Sunu might be my number one pickup. What? If you need a start at the position. What? Going against Tampa Bay, I mean, I want, just like this last week where, you know, you're trying to get assets in the Falcon Steelers game. I want assets in the Falcons, Buccaneers game.

Muhammad Sanoo had, he's had three productive weeks in a row and he's got a matchup that I'm willing to put him in. I mean, would you rather start Callaway or Muhammad Sanoo this week? Sanoo. Right. Reynolds, you don't know if he's going to be able to play. Robbie Anderson or Sanoo? Sanoo. Sanoo. So, I mean, it's just one of those like if you have to plug a guy in for one week, I think he's got the best match. Even with the concussion problem, Geronimo is still my number one.

really want to play the Russian roulette anymore with the Jags wide receivers. It's an Amari Cooper situation. It's not good. It's not healthy for your fantasy team. You're just guessing. You're throwing out a player into your lineup that you can't possibly know. Oh, there's no matchup data, cornerback data, health of Leonard Four Nett. There's no predictable metric that I've seen as to the guessing game of who's going to end up getting the targets.

which I don't expect because they were on a short week coming off of an overtime game. Then they played Thursday night football. We knew Hilton was going to be out. But if Hilton misses another week, Chester Rogers is interesting. Moving to the running back position, this is where it's going to get a little bit interesting. Alfred Morris is available in a little bit more than half of leagues. We talked about the health of Matt Breda. Alfred Morris, 18 carries, 61 yards.

five targets for Mr. Morris. C.J. Bethard does not care if your running back is known for being a pass catcher or not, albeit Carlos Hyder, Alfred Morris. He's going to get targets. How interested should people be in Alfred Morris? He's playing in Lambo against Green Bay. I think that if you need a start, which a lot of people do at the running back position, there are several pickups this week.

where I think you can pick them up and start at running back. That just does not usually happen where there's a handful. Alfred Morris is one of them. I don't believe that he is my favorite of the list. And we don't know yet because the injury to Breda happened midgame. So this was not a game plan situation. They just had to keep going with what they had. But it is, it's interesting if you're in a full point PPR league.

Kyle Hughes check. Yes. Yes. Look. Use check season has begun. Mike and I have always been pretty big fans of use check. He's he's a fun back to watch. He's terrible as a touchdown vulture over time. But when you get to start him in a PPR league, he is the past catcher. Seven targets, six receptions for 75 yards. Granted, it was.

Oh, the Garbage Land. Full on comeback mode for the San Francisco 49ers. But won't it be again? Against Green Bay? Yeah. It certainly could be. I mean, this is, it would be a glory play for sure. I love those, man. If, if you, if you need a spot start and you don't want to, you know, pay up or you get outbid, and then you just, you get a zero dollar bid on Kyle Use Jack, throw him in your flex, boom, bam.

The Houston Texans, Alfred Blue, bad on the ground, but good through the air, 246, 8 for 73 through the air. Lamar Miller was active, but that he was placed into an emergency role. I don't know why you do this. You do this because they don't have the running back depth.

It was really one of those situations where it was identical to when Marks Marieto was active as the backup. They just, they didn't want to bring in another quarterback. But for the running back position, let's be honest. If Alvar Blue or something were to happen and he goes down and you have Lamar Miller who's beat up enough that you don't want him to play football, just play without a running back. Seriously, spread it wide, go to town. Yeah, five wide. Just go to, just, just have some fun.

I think they would rather protect Deshaun Watson and not say, hey, pass rush, go get him every play. Fair enough. But so Alford Blue, you interested in picking him up? I mean, Lamar Miller, if he was active in an emergency role, you've got to expect that he's back to play next week. Yeah, I do think he would be back. So Alfred Blue is a guy who was probably picked up this last week when the news was breaking. I would hold on to him.

If he's free, I would gladly pick him up for a $0 bid or not waste my waiver wire priority and stash him because if Lamar Miller is out again, then it's a good situation. I mean, Buffalo's defense has turned around lately. Yeah, Buffalo, then Jacksonville. So it's, yeah, it's not the best. No, not the best match. And this is really one week because Deont-Forman.

Should be back for the Jacksonville game, I believe. That's week. We'll see. He's coming back off of the pup, but all the news has been very positive. He's returning from an Achilles injury, so we shall see. The reason that the Texans did not want to promote a running back, sign a running back, do one of those things. And Lamar Miller was active in that emergency role is Deontiform. They see him. They want him back. They're getting him soon. I think they're excited.

Almost rather pick up Deont-Forman, but I think you can probably wait one more week. Mike Davis, Seattle running back, widely available, had a pretty good game. 12 carries, 68 yards, and a score. Last week was the Mike Davis show. It was the Chris Carson show. Rashad Penny got the boot. Are we interested in Mike Davis at all? Gets to play Oakland. Mildly interested because there are plenty of.

running back by committees that get enough work to where you can start him. And that appears to be what's happening with Mike Davis. There's no reason to give him less work when he's been great the last two weeks, but he's still the backup. And so with all of the players you could grab, I mean, we haven't even talked to talk to. We haven't even talked about the number one pickup, which is the Eagles backfield to me.

I'm the host of the show. I know. I'm running the roadmap. I'm criticizing. We'll get there. I'm just saying I'm not picking up Mike Davis over, you know, running backs who are the clear. Fine, Mr. Snooty Pants. Let's get into the Philadelphia Eagles. J. Ajai on the IR. Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood, Darren Sprouls, potentially Josh Adams. Who's it going to be? Yeah. What do you do? How are you?

navigating the waters of the Philadelphia Eagles running back. So this last week I had just mentioned, I picked up Corey Clement because I didn't need to start then. Where's my button? Congratulations, Mr. Toot, Toot. Thank you. You should have picked him up too because I knew that JJ was going on the IR. Well, honestly, we've been saying forever he's going to end up on the IRR. Fair enough. But we just didn't think it would be for an ACL. It was going to be for the back.

Wendell Smallwood is healthy. So if you want to put him first, great. But Corey Clement is practicing in full now. So he has been held out. They're playing on Thursday. Right. This Thursday against the Giants. If he's practicing in full, then he's ready to go. That's how I view it. So unless a re-injury happens, I believe that Corey Clement will be the starter. He's just so much better than Wendell Smallwood.

Windle Smallwood's been fine. There's a great offense, a great offensive line, and he can be used in a passing role or, you know, as first and second down back. So if it turns out that they wait another week on Corey Clement because of the short week, then Windows Smallwood, honestly, both of these guys are going to get work. Both of these guys. Yeah, you won't know if Corey's going to play for sure by the time the waiver period will run. Right. Will you spend a number one priority on?

Either of these guys? Yes. Let's say they're both there. Corey Clement. Okay. Because over the course of the, Jayhye's injury is not like Matt Beritas. Jay Jha's done. The season is over for Jhajai. So that means over the course of the next seven, eight weeks before fantasy playoffs hit, you have a starting running back for a great offense on a great offensive line. And I believe that will be Corey Clement.

It is a running back by committee. It will remain a running back by committee. So let's talk fab real quick. Are you spending the same on both of these guys in a fab? No. Situation. Okay. Where is your high end for Corey Clement? I feel like Corey Clement is a $35, 35% of your budget type of buy and then maybe a quarter on Windows Smallwood or, you know, it just depends on your needs at running back.
