The playoff episode turns a bizarre rushing-touchdown scoring dispute into a lesson about probability, luck and fantasy-league rules.
You pretty much can't lose with him if he keeps playing like this. That's pretty much the recipe, unless you, you catch some Kyle Pitts on your bench. That's it even on your roster. But that's the thing is, Kyle Pitts, like the performance legendary, you know, like the bad, essentially the best tight-in performance in modern fantasy football history. Trey McBride's at 31 points. Like, Trey McBride is not. that far behind. Do you realize that on the season, Tray McRite is averaging 16.3, he's number one. The next closest is Kelsey. What? Wait, Kelsey's the... At 10.4 points per game. He's more than George. Which means the third highest is Kyle Pitts on the season. We do a fantasy truth series. We will bring up Kyle Pitts who will show up on all your platforms. This is total points. Okay. This isn't points per game, right?
no that's points per game oh it says points per game right there or is that total points i i think so i'm looking at points per game you got tucker craft was technically second at 12 points this is sorted by total okay so but still the gap between 16 and 12 and tucker craft is out and didn't get the whole year yeah it's just there's no comparison right now to train mcbray well but total fantasy points which is what you're going to see at the end of the year with the ranking Kyle pitch is going to show up at three or better
Well, just behind him. He could be at two. Just behind Kyle Pitts guys. Dallas Goddert. Oh, and should have been. Six for 70 and two and should have had three. And he dropped the touchdown. Yeah. He dropped the easiest touchdown I've ever seen in my life. I don't understand this offense. Do you, do you buy into the Colby Parkinson performance now that we have like I do because of for touchdowns. I do. Well, you, you know how the number one touchdown score, the receiver, Devante Adams, out. And Colby Parkinson is, he has been a top 10 tied in five of six weeks, guys. He is still scoring a lot. He was kind of gifted a touchdown. It was a little strange. You know, I kept watching that. It was just weird. I understand why they ruled it. The screenshot on that was.
a betrayal of the truth. Yeah, because I think he was still bobbing. He was bobbing the football and repossessed it when he was in the end zone. And I watched it like five times after Jason or somebody told me that. It just, it felt like a weird play. But yeah, Colby. Six touchdowns in six weeks with Devante. The way that Stafford is playing, Parkinson is is playable as a guy that you're just hoping for a touchdown. Yeah, I mean, if you look at the last six weeks, he's on pace for 17 touchdowns, but only 600 yards. It's just. going to make a big difference to have no Devante Adams, though. It will. And who's picking up the slack for Adams other than Parkinson? Like is 2-2-Outwell? 2-2-A-well would be the guy that I would pick up, but, you know, TBD. Yeah. I wish it would be Terrence Ferguson getting on the field more and, you know, I think he's still got a bright future, but he's not there yet. I think Parkinson could end up winning some titles. Let's talk duds.
pooped in his big boy pants. Well, Dak, threw for zero touchdown. Almost 300 yards and played okay. But when you rush all the touchdowns, it sucks for fairness. And their season's done. Their seasons are. Yes. Joe Burroughs season over as well. He had 30, listen to the contrast to this. Joe Burrow 39 pass attempts. Lamar Jackson 12. Oh, my gosh. Lamar Jackson completed eight passes. So I don't know. If you told me that part in the beginning of the week, I probably wouldn't have picked. I would not have. picked Mark Andrews as my start of the week or encouraged people to play as I likely. I would not personally have played both of those players because... How did you not know? I don't know. I mean... They won. Handedly. Man. That game was so... So weird. Dumb and weird. I mean, Dack did throw for 294. Jordan Love threw for 276 and won, but threw two picks. Disappointing week. That was going to be a tough matchup against Denver.
Herbert. I mean, Herbert and Mahomes just took turns running away from defensive linemen in that game and looking frantic and uncomfortable the entire game. You know, the McConkey thing is kind of scary right now. They got Dallas in Dallas next week. Yeah, probably still. Dallas is playing okay on the defensive side. Yeah, but guys are still scoring on him. JJ McCarthy. No, I get it. I get it. I'm not saying not playing. I'm just saying that lad has been. It's been tough. If you played him, I understand it. Sad McComkey. Yeah, sad and bad. Jamir Gibbs, 13 for 38. The Lions are 0 and 6 in every game he doesn't score a touchdown. Wow. Breece Hall couldn't do anything against Jacksonville. We were very worried about Breece Hall. Same with Janty, 9 for 35. What can you do? I mean, what can you do in that situation? That is a terrible football team. There's nothing. And you play Houston. I mean,
Just call it now. Is Genti even playable against Houston? I don't know. It will obviously depend on who you have on your team, but yeah, maybe not. There's a chance that that's a bad call. Yeah, he will be in the place where you've got to look at your lineup and make a decision. He hasn't scored 10 points in three weeks and that offense. Nine, four, six. And granted, those were three good defenses, right? The Chargers. the Broncos and the Eagles. Good defenses, but Houston. He scored 6.4 against Dallas. I do not envy anyone making that decision this week. Yeah, we'll get some starts to get questions. I'm sure they're going to flood in about week 17, or sorry, week 16, Ashton Genty. Hampton, 15 for 61. I mean, that's not the end of the world, just didn't score. Vidal was worse, 12 for 33.
They still won the football game. That was a dog fight, Kansas City, low-scoring game. I think we kind of joked about that one being low-scoring. And Judkins, this was a big disappointment. This one's massively disappointing. I know on Sunday live, there were some different rookies being thrown out there, Mike, and you were the most confident. We all were confident in Judkins. Jerome Ford's on the IR. Dylan Samson was ruled out. It's like Judkins is going to be on the field for everything. Three catches for negative four yards. And only 12 carries. They wanted to put the ball in Shador's hand so he could throw it to the other team. If you were Team Sanders, this was not the week. Ken Walker has been Kenneth Crawler the last two weeks. It's been real bad. It's been unstartable. Charbonnet was just as bad. Yeah. And then Kareem Hunt and Chuba didn't do anything. So is Indy tough? Are they a tough run defense shutting down?
Walker and Charbonny? Indy is a good defense, but also the... Who's Christian McCaffrey play on Monday Night Football? They are a tougher defense. But here's the thing that it's like Seattle. What, where are we with Seattle? Of now three, I think it's three weeks in a row of you have one good offensive half of football. They, I mean, we haven't talked to Pete River yet. They almost lost to Philip Rivers at home. It took just a miracle drive and a big long field goal to take the lead back while there was essentially no time left. They almost lost to Philip Rivers because the offense can't do anything. They didn't score a touchdown. It was, what, five field goals? I can't remember how many they had. I don't know what the score was.
Let me pull it up. 1613, maybe? So it was... 1513? It was 18, 18, 16. So... Oh, okay. Their offense is... All field goals. Their offense is broken right now. Like, very, very broken. Um, yeah. I don't know what happened. It ended up being a defensive battle and... Sam... The Sam Darnold conversation. End of season. Sam Darnold. Well, this is, I mean, look, they're probably going to keep them as their quarterback because the season's being great. But I am. You don't understand how quick stuff changes. If you have a couple of games, if they flame out in the playoffs, he's not the quarterback of the Vikings right now. And he should have been. But recency is, recency bias is very powerful. And if you end the season and you throw three picks and for 116 yards and you flame out of the playoffs,
He'll be their quarterback, but there'll be some, what do we got in Jalen? What do we have in Milroy? There'll be some talk. I'm saying the rest of the, you're playing JSN no matter what, just that I'd be feeling a little skittish here. You get the Rams? That's who the Seahawks play. It's Thursday, by the way. Oh, my. Justin Jefferson. All right. Yep. Give it to me. Give it to me. Put his handle up. Put his Twitter handle up there. Let's get him situated. I don't know if you can zoom. I thought Justin Jefferson would have a good game. Is there a button for this guy? I thought he'd have like eight targets against Dallas. Maybe one more. Oh, he did. I thought he could get a touchdown. Oh, he did. You got called back. They're not going to stop. No, it shouldn't stop. I told you. Justin Jefferson is my fault.
I will say this, my, my saving grace. Hit it again. The thing that makes me okay. But. Yeah, he gave a disclaimer. No, no, no, no, it's not a disclaimer. It's Mike, you did Sunday live. Yeah. How many Justin Jefferson questions did you field? Uh, probably, I don't even remember. I remember you saying on there. It's like, you have like none. Like there's nobody's, nobody's asking questions about Justin Jefferson. I did say I would probably not play him. Yeah. And that's great. That's great, great advice. I'm just happy. I was shocked. You made a guy your start of the week that you knew no one was going to play? No, no. I am surprised. It's not that people didn't play them. It's what we joked about prior. We joked about it that if you had them, you didn't make the playoffs. So I think that, you know, it was like. Yeah. All right. Yeah, yeah. He did. But the ones that they did make the playoffs. Yeah. Sorry. Hope you got to the next round.
Jordan Addison, two for 66, just four catches between the two guys. George Pickin, three for 33. He placed the Giants next week. Oh, man. Don't, no, you don't have to do that. George. Pickens? What is happening? It's what, it's called George Pickens. This is 100% George Pickens's entire life. George Pickens, you talk about an illusionist. George? He can disappear with the best. George. You got three games. Don't fumble the bag, man. George, George, you need it. We all need it. Everyone needs George Pickens to be good. Here's the real problem is you're going to have this narrative that's going to form for George Pickens. There's dominance without CD Lamb. Then there's some good performances with him. Then there's, I don't care about football anymore, George Pickens. And that's going to all frame how much money he gets in this offseason, whether it's a franchise tag, whatever it is.
But that's been, we all joke about the fact that why would the Steelers let this guy go? I think it wears thin over time. There are players where it does that. I'm not, none of that denies the talent of George Pickens. We've had talented players. 1,200 yards and eight touchdowns so far. I mean, there are a lot of players that have unbelievable talent. I think it really comes down. And Cedareas Tony and, I mean, superstars. It really comes down to these next three weeks. I mean, it really does. You know, he has had two bad weeks. Like. It's not the end of the world if he comes back and finishes the year strong. Now, if he has five bad weeks to finish the year, then everything you're talking about, the questions, the contract he can or can't get in the offseason, that'll be a big debate. But I want to face the number one DB or number one team against wide receivers this next week. We got my my guy, George Pickens, sitting on the season at wide receiver four. You're my guy, Andy, currently sitting on the season wide receiver eight.
going completely different directions. Yes. Yeah, who would you start next week? You'd start Jamo next week. Who finishes the season higher? You're not playing George Pickens against the charge. I would play, no, I would definitely start Jamo over Pickens next week. So Jamo is playing Pittsburgh. I would probably play him. It is weird because you'll never be able to correlate it, but it's like these next three games. How many millions does they matter for him? How many millions of guaranteed dollars? Truly probably less than we want to pretend because the wide receiver marketplace. It's yeah you covet someone with his skill set he'll get all the money he wants even his but like but so weird man success I think that the if he if we do flame out here and it's just three more absolute stinkers do the good teams show up with the money or is it just the crap teams where it's like okay congratulations you have you have the money should play on the Raiders dude
He should be a... Oh, he is a perfect reader. My dynasty team needs you to shut up. This was a bummer. Ted McMillan just two for 25. Yeah. And Jalen Coker has been involved. Ladd McConkey, two for 20. His last four games, he's had three of them with three or fewer points. And you've had missing pieces, right? It's not like... The Chargers have had some other guy step up to be dominant. Like Quentin Johnson was even out of this game. You do get to play Dallas, but then it's Houston, Denver. Like Ladd-McConkie right now, you can play him next week. Yep. But you better have a plan beyond that because I don't know if Houston's the matchup you want for your championship. No. With the offensive line, the way that it is for the Chargers, there's a Herbert can't really be great. Andrews likely.
Bowers to six for 28. Jake Ferguson, who was banged up, two for 16. This one sucked. Dalton Kincaid, three for 34. No, it didn't. It was beautiful. Yeah, Jason was playing against Kincair. I should have seen that because Dawson Knox was going to cut the touchdown. Tyler Warren, three for 19. Everyone wanted to know whether they could play him. Well, all Colts. Michael Pittman was, what, three for 26. Alec Pierce won for 16. Philip Rivers did not throw for 200 yards. No. I'm not joking. Like I can make all the throws Philip made. They, yeah, we didn't really. We haven't talked much, Philip Rivers. So can you, by the way. Did you see the play where he kind of fell down and then he had to stand up and it looked so difficult? He slipped in the pocket. He wasn't touched, needed to get up and continue the play.
And it looked like how I get up when my knees are hurting. Standing up, no hands at that age and that physical level of fitness was it, it was pretty tough. And yet, it, it, I mean, I give him more credit than. Oh, sure. I mean, it's so amazing what he did. He should have won. It, it looked like it, the throws, it looked like that last year of Peyton Manning, where this is still a quarterback who. mentally is is great can hand like he can read defenses he knows what he knows his limitations but that ball was just he's everything he's got everything he's got left now did you tell people to start him over borough Mike because that would have been I did not oh my gosh he did more points than burrow yeah gross I added him to one of my teams on the bench as like a leadership position yeah oh nice I figured
I think he is part of the reason you want to talk about, you know, them being in the game, how the Colts defense played. It's probably, Philip Rivers actually made an impact there. And it was probably the right move to put him in over Riley Leonard. And they were so close to winning that game. I hate that like a field goal with like 30 to 40 seconds left is like, you're going to lose. That's how it feels in the NFL now. Yeah. If you don't, it feels like you're, yeah, you're probably going to lose. I mean, because the kickers make them from so far now.
Like, I think, hmm, I mean, I didn't just win, so maybe my idea sucks, but I think you should narrow the uprights. Yeah, I mean, that's, I think, I think you should bring them in, what, a foot or two each side, at least? Five yards, each side. Not sure. Eat each. Well, look, what does that make it then? Impossible. Get kickers out of the game. Did you say yards? Yes. Not feet. Look, if you narrow them, you kick less vehicles total. because your risks go up, so you get more fourth downs, which is what people want anyways. Maybe. So what do you, what are you feeling about Warren and Pittman? Terrible. Terrible. Oh, you can't. You see Anthony Richardson's going to be practicing? He's been cleared medically. I don't think you can start a pass catching option for the Colts. It's Jonathan Taylor and check out now. Yeah, San Francisco and Jacksonville and Houston to finish the year. It's probably.
I mean, that's just going to be tough sliding for JT. So the width of the goal post is 18 feet and six inches and you want to take five yards off of each. I don't think we can do that. I mean, it would be impossible. Yeah. Yeah, you would move the left or up right and the right up right. And the right up right would become the left. Yeah. And you would have a new gap. Right. So I get what you're saying. It does work. Yeah. It works. You're a mad man. A yard is three feet, right? Yeah. So you want 15 and I think it might be wider now.
I'm not sure. Incredible. Incredible job. Yeah, I feel horrible about all Colts, fantasy players. That was Studs and Duds presented by Lowe's. Lowe's, no Sundays are for NFL football.
