Episode notes

A voice-loss episode where pun therapy, Arthur Smith's forgetful offense and Brooks's Josh Jacobs conviction become the memorable material.

So basically look at the pass rush of the opponent. And if they've got a pass rush that can get to the quarterback, that's when you move away from the deep field targets like Alec Pierce. I got another touchdown taken away from me from Rashad Bateman, too. He was dragged down on the one inch line, four for 42, not a great return. It was weird. You watched this game, and it seemed like Lamar was holding the ball too long, dancing around. And I think he was just staring at Rashad Bateman. So I don't know if that's a good sign moving forward or what?

He wanted to throw it to him down the field. That was an interesting point because I had the same takeaway on watching Lamar. He's getting sad. Why aren't you running? I know. Like where, what happened to that Lamar that we've seen all year? That was, it was strange. And the goose crew, Romeo Dobbs, Michael Gallup. Oh, the goose. Oh, yeah. Those guys. I had both of them. Great job, fellas. You should, you know, I told you all week if you remember. Drop Gallup, pick up McCallardman and play him. I've been saying it. You were saying it and time and time again. Brooks, you heard me, right? Oh, yeah. All right. Anything else we need to update the listenership with, Kyle? Nothing right now. Can you do anything about these past attempts from Ariota? Can we get Desmond Ritter? Are they going to give up on this plan? Kyle, he threw the ball 33 times in week one. That's okay. I'll take 33. This is the plan. You are the closest thing I can come to yelling at Arthur himself.

I will say this. Arthur has really genuinely stepped up in a big way when Matt Rule left that we were not sure. The void will be filled. Who the worst coach is going to be that's out there. Arthur's like, hold my beer because I got this. I mean, we saw it, but it didn't feel as bad when it was Cordero getting the handoffs. They're like, okay, cool, Cordero's relevant. But when it's Caleb Huntley and Tyler Alger, it feels even worse. Algier got like 16 carries, and I mean, he's getting work. And what's crazy is like, they were down. The freaking goldfish. Three scores. This isn't like, oh, you're, you know, there's a half to go and you're down 10. They're down 21. And they're like, let's have a nice slow drive. Every play is the first play of the game to Arthur Smith. That's unbelievable. Well, we'll be back with a big waiver show tomorrow. Yeah. Good luck on Monday night football, whatever you need to have happened.
