Taysom uses Trautman to melt Mike into a puddle

Mike equates his Taysom Hill hatred with Andy's Breece Hall love, only for Taysom to throw a touchdown to Mike's old favorite Adam Trautman. Mike celebrates before learning who threw it, says he melted into a puddle of flesh, and faces don't-talk-to-me hands from listeners who escaped Kyle Pitts for Taysom. Direct video only shows the desk retelling; no puddle or hand gag appears.

moment

Monday Punday mutates the Week 5 board

The recurring reaction segment turns the week into Jared Barf, Boss Allen, Taysom Mountain, Beast Hall, Breece Hallelujah, Conk Conk Goose, Dalton Sharts, Cryler Allgeier, Christian Jerk, and Babe Davis. The viewer sees the hosts reading the stack, not a dedicated pun graphic.

moment

Al's forward cap makes him the offscreen nerd

Looking toward Deucers Alley, the hosts say two crew members have backward caps while Al wears his cap forward and is buttoned up, making him the nerd despite usually starting the cool-guy trend. They then ask whether his Packers will recover. Al answers from off camera; the video never shows the described outfit and transitions to the News & Notes bumper.

moment

The Dump Truck makes two trips

Fournette's eleven-target game fills the recurring Dump Truck twice: one load for each half, with a trip to dump and return for more. The hosts say Mike never misses the 'dumps like a truck' cue on a catch. No truck, cargo, or route graphic appears.

moment

Michael Carter must give Breece Hall the touchdown dance

After Breece Hall twice reaches the one and leaves for a breather, Mike rules that substitute scorer Michael Carter cannot celebrate. Carter should carry the ball back to Breece and say, 'Dance, buddy. This is for you.' The proposal is entirely spoken and is not shown as game footage or reenacted at the desk.

moment

Mike is a principled toddler against Taysom's eligibility

Mike accepts that Hill's four touchdowns make more usage likely but still refuses to play him as a man of honor and principles. He admits raging like a toddler and feeling personally attacked, then argues it is disingenuous to list Hill at tight end when the production comes from quarterback snaps. The close concedes Taysom was a good decision that principle rejected. No tantrum or position disguise is shown.

moment

Betz wins DFS and is fired for asking a raise

A successful DFS dart throw leads the hosts to imagine Matthew Betz asked for a pay raise. They immediately announce he has been let go, open his job to anyone equally good who will not ask for a dollar, congratulate his past work, and say he went out on top. Betz is not shown and no real personnel action or firing graphic is documented.

moment

Andy and Kyle climb the nightly Kyle Pitts Kool-Aid hill

Andy says he and Kyle climb a hill every evening, pour Kool-Aid, toast Kyle Pitts, and talk about how great Pitts will be if he gets a chance. Andy predicts Pitts could be the best tight end of the 2026 season. Direct video stays on the hosts; Kyle, the hill, drink, toast, and future graphic are all dialogue-only.

moment

Breakfast butter turns bald, hairy, and midnight

Hockenson's season is compared to cold butter stuck in one spot on bread rather than spread across weeks. Calling it breakfast butter becomes a confusion between a ball and bald butter, which leads to objections about hairy butter and the classification 'midnight butter.' Kyle is said to be dying in Deucers Alley. The viewer sees only the laughing hosts and no butter or Kyle cutaway.

summary

Episode notes

Andy, Jason, and Mike are named and visibly present for the full episode; no host is missing and no Jay Griz appears. Taysom Hill's 38-point game turns Mike's old Adam Trautman attachment into a trap: Mike celebrates Trautman's touchdown before realizing Taysom threw it, then says he melted into a puddle of flesh. Direct video shows Mike gesturing and smiling at the desk, not literally melting. The FootClan members who pivoted from Kyle Pitts to Taysom reportedly gave Mike the don't-talk-to-me hand and auto-won, while Mike's own Taysom pickup did not save his week. Monday Punday follows with Jared Barf, Boss Allen, Taysom Mountain, Beast Hall, Breece Hallelujah, Conk Conk Goose, Dalton Sharts, Cryler Allgeier, Christian Jerk, and Babe Davis. The video stays on the three hosts and supplies no dedicated Monday Punday card. The hosts then look toward Deucers Alley and roast Al's reported forward cap and buttoned-up look against two backward caps, calling him the nerd and asking about his Packers. Al's brief replies are off camera; the viewer never sees the described outfit or any crew seat, and the sequence cuts into the standard visible News & Notes bumper. Leonard Fournette's Dump Truck returns after eleven targets: the hosts say it filled up, made two trips to the dump, and triggers Mike's drop every catch, but no truck graphic or physical bit appears. After Breece Hall twice does the hard work only for Michael Carter to score from the one, Mike proposes a celebration rule: Carter must carry the ball back to Breece and tell him to dance. That handoff is imagined, not game or studio footage. Taysom's four-touchdown day later sends Mike back to his principles. He admits raging like a toddler, feeling personally attacked, and refusing to play Taysom because nearly all of the listed tight end's production came while taking quarterback snaps. The hosts nevertheless acknowledge using him would have been a good decision. None of the tantrum, quarterback disguise, or soul damage is visually performed. Matthew Betz's successful DFS dart throw prompts a mock corporate cutaway in dialogue: after supposedly asking for a raise, he is immediately 'let go' for getting greedy while going out on top. Video never cuts to Betz and shows no termination graphic. Kyle answers an off-camera question about the Bills-Chiefs kickoff, then becomes part of Andy's nightly Kyle Pitts ritual: Andy says he and Kyle climb a hill, pour the Kool-Aid, toast Pitts, and believe he might be the best tight end of the 2026 season. No hill, drink, Kyle inset, or prophecy card appears. The closing T.J. Hockenson analogy piles cold breakfast butter in one spot on bread, then a misunderstanding of 'ball' as 'bald' creates bald butter, hairy butter, and midnight butter; Kyle is reported dying in Deucers Alley, but video remains on the amused hosts and shows neither Kyle nor butter. Routine fantasy analysis is omitted.

Moster or Singletary, yeah. I think Moster asking for a friend. I will, I will take Moster. I mean, I still assume at some point Moster's not going to be able to finish the season if he's getting this volume. But I want every game that he's going to be playing going forward. He's fast. He's so fast. All right, Antonio Gibson, here we go. Here we go, Mike. Oh, three carries for six yards. I mean, it was, it was already. It's curtains for Gibby. It's curtains for the manders running back. Yeah. It's, this is a, this is a goodbye. Antonio Gibson. Farewell. It, you burned like, like a, he burned like David Johnson. Like a 40 watt bulb. He, uh, we got two great seasons from Antonio Gibson. That's a hit. And now it's, it's curtains. Time to say goodbye.

55:29 ↗

I will say, I mean, this game, this game against Tennessee, Brian Robinson got a few opportunities. They're going to give them more. They're going to give them more opportunities. This was his first game back after a first week of practice. So it was basically a three-headed rotation. You had all three backs involved. Nine carries for Robinson for 22 yards. No one looked great. That's three times the carries of Gibson. Right, exactly. He got the work. Yeah, I think it will, I mean, are you disagreeing? Are you agreeing that he's going to start getting more work? I am saying that it's probably an irrelevant move of more work. Like, I don't think he's going to get, it would take Gibson going away. And Gibson getting absolutely no snaps for one of those two guys to be a startable, reliable fantasy asset. Mike? I agree. I think we're going to have a three-person time sure here.

56:27 ↗

Robinson is the one you want, but it's going to be touchdown or bust. I would much rather have Robinson than Gibson, for sure. I just think both are going to be really irrelevant. If Jady McKissick is still in the past catching role and they're splitting the rest of an ugly pie, it's not going to be a player that you can reliably say, I want to start this guy this week. I think in about three or four weeks, you'll have about 15 to 18. carry opportunities for Robinson. I'm still forced dashing Robinson, but it's going to take some time. Tyree Kill, Jalen Waddle, AJ Brown, Jamar Chase. Man. Jamar. So you threw him in the duds with a seven for 50? Yeah, I think most people were, put it this way. I played against Jamar Chase in one of our main leagues. I was thrilled. I felt like he stunk for what you expect him to do. Jamar Chase, no T. Higgins.

57:25 ↗

Against the Baltimore Ravens, for him to end up with seven for 50 is a catastrophe. Okay, 12 targets. So it was going his way. It just didn't work out. Right. Well, because he needs the true number one on the field to take the coverage away. Yeah, it seems like he takes the coverage away to let Higgins breathe. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. That's why Higgins has been so amazing. Tyler Boyd, whatever. C.D. Lamb, eight targets, five for 53, a come down game for him. Yeah, disappointing. Drake, London. Knew it was going to happen. Yeah, that was not a good one. Chris Godwin, six for 61. You expected more in this game. That was very disappointing. You definitely expected more. And he got most of that work early. It looked like he was going to have a great game and then really went quiet. I do believe his snaps. They pulled them way down in the second half.

58:22 ↗

All right. Christian Kirk has finally slowed down. Just one for 11 in this game. The best game for fantasy purposes was Marvin Jones. So Zay Jones came back. It was just three for 12. Those two players combined for under 25 total receiving yards. Like it was just a bad, bad game for Jacksonville's offense. Jacksonville looked terrible. They did not, did they score a touchdown? No, no, no, no. They had six points, right? Yeah. So, I mean, this was this was as bad as their offenses looked all season. That being said. Behind, you know, eight targets for Jay Jones. You got to keep him on your radar. I don't think it's always going to be this bad. The hard part is you don't have a long history of Jacksonville being a good offense with Trevor Lawrence, that it freaks you out a little bit about bad games. Agreed. Romeo Dobbs. He, so he had a terrible game. Five targets, three for 29. But behind the scenes, he had a really good game. Still leading the team in, you know, snaps and routes and targets on the season. In most of the metrics, he.

59:21 ↗

He's still doing really, really well. This was obviously a terrible game for the Packers in London in general. They came out, looked great in the very beginning, and then did nothing on offense the rest of the game. I was a little concerned. Were you? Yeah, I mean, Randall Cobb had 13 targets in this game was definitely a first read on a lot of these plays. How'd that go? I mean, maybe don't make Randall Cobb your primary receiving option. Christian Watson got injured. He reagravated the hamstring injury. I don't know for sure. Technically, if it's a reagravation of the same hamstring or the other one. I assume it's a reaggravation of the one that he's been dealing with. But if he is out going forward, then Lazard Dobbs, I think they're still good plays. What about Randall Cobb? I'm not chasing after this one. If you want to stash him in a deep league, that's fine. But I would not play him until you see another game where he actually has a pulse.

60:19 ↗

Adam Thieland, Brandon Cooks, down weeks for both of those guys? Yep. Any concerns moving forward? I mean, Adam Thieland is just adjusting the expectations of what he is, which is like a flex or a bi-week fill-in type of a player at right now. I mean, the momentum was building for him, so I guess it is extra disappointing to see it fall apart where when Justin Jefferson had such a big game. And then let's talk about Jets wide receivers. They didn't need them or Tyler Conklin in this game. Correct. 40 points? Is that right? They scored 40 points. Garrett Wilson sucked. Elijah Moore sucked. Corey Davis sucked and Conklin sucked. That seems impossible. But when you get a bunch of short fields, you know, they had the undrafted rookie on the other side, having turnovers, giving them a short field, and then you get 200 of your offensive yards. Go to Brees Hall. There just wasn't a need or a lot left for anyone. Cutting Elijah Moore.

61:16 ↗

Yeah, he's, I mean, there's definitely waiver wire pickups that we'll talk about tomorrow. I would rather have them more. T.J. Hawkinson, one for six. Yep, that sounds about right. How does that happen? Now, last week, you were sitting here not offering me Hawkinson for Pitts. Any change in view? Sure. Yeah. Do you want them? No, no, I don't. So there's an official rejection? It's an official rejection, yeah. I would only offer it because Kyle and I, Kyle and I, every, every evening we climb, we climb the hill and we, uh, we pour the Kool-Aid. You just tie and talk about Kyle Pitts and how great he's going to be. Yeah, and then we just cheers with the Kool-Aid and we sip it. If only he gets his chance. I honestly think he has a chance to be tight in one rest of the, the, the 26th season is just, I think he could be the best tight end of that season. Um,

62:15 ↗

2026. I'm calling it now. I'm going to be the first one to say it. He's going to be great thing. I just wish, like, Hawkinson is the, his season is like the piece of bread where you put the big clump of butter on it, right? And you're supposed to smooth that in both directions, right? But you can't because it's cold. Yeah, so it's just stuck in one spot and you got that one week of 40 points. And if you could just spread it, just spread it to the left, spread it to the right. You'd enjoy the whole piece of bread. That ain't no dinner butter. That is breakfast butter. That is cold.

62:44 ↗

bald butter and like a bald bald bald what's a bald what's a bald what's a bald what's a ball butter is like bald up it's rolled oh you know like the butter ball ball it was like you oh yeah like losing hair I don't like hair on my butter like I am I don't either fully against hairy butter that's that's that's that's midnight butter um George Kittle five for 47 Okay. I think that's not a dud. No, I, he had the fumble, so his fantasy output was bad. We were all hearing the word bald B-A-L-D, by the way. Yes. Because Kyle was dying in Ducers alley. I was like, I guess if it's smooth, it kind of looks like a bald head. I was totally with you. I was like, I didn't realize like a ball of butter. Yeah. Which might have been the phrase to go with.

63:31 ↗

It might have been for some lesser man. Yeah, Robert Tunyon, four for 23, Zach Gert, six for 48, Gerald Everett, one for two. This was the biggest, yes. The injury, but also the, I mean, he's out there. Yeah. Donald Parham was back. They used 12 personnel more often, but none of the, none of the tight ends did anything there. And that wasn't even the worst of it. The goose crew, Conklin, Howard, and Schultz combined. for three targets, no catches. So who would have thought in our DFS lineup? Yeah. You made the better play at tight end than I did. That's right. Because we both got zero points, but I paid more. Ours. Ours was very cheap. We got what we paid for. We got the cheapest zero we could get. You betcha. I don't think Evan Ingram was very much more expensive. And I was looking his way. I just didn't have the heart. I prefer zero from Howard.

64:29 ↗

Yeah, you taking Evan Ingram would be like Mike taking Tayson Hill. It's just. It would have been good decisions for both of us. For this week, it would have been a good, good idea. But we're men of principles. Rashad Penny is officially out for the season. Oh, man. So tomorrow's waiver show, which we'll get to soon. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Yeah, that's a good point, Mike. It will happen tomorrow. Yeah, it's Monday. It's Monday. And this show's over. We're done. We've got a Monday night football game tonight, though. Hopefully you get what you need so you can get that W. And we'll be back with the Waiver show tomorrow. Thanks for joining us. Thanks for supporting the show.
