night football. Thursday night breakdown. Well, we had football Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday last week, our Thursday night matchup this week. Washington 1-0-1-0. Oh, man. Taking on the 1-0 Green Bay Packers. This game is. So this game's also in Lambo. They get to start the season, two at home? That's what I was surprised. Two at home, but not just two at home. But then the second week on Thursday night primetime at home, making another team fly across the country in short order. They're going to do it. They just got to stay home. They play it home and they get to chill. Look, they're three and a half point favorites and the over under in the game's 48 and a half. So at least Las Vegas sees us enjoying Thursday night football. I hope we do. You know, Green Bay's defense in week one stifling. And so Jaden Daniels will have his hands full.

Washington runs so much no huddle. You saw Debo Samuel have a lot of success in his debut. Green Bay, much slower. They were 31st in pass rate over expectation last year. That is the challenge for Jordan Love is will they need to throw the ball that much? This is a good game for them to probably need to throw the ball a little bit. Yeah. And, I mean, are you playing Jordan Love? I'm fine. I'm fine. I mean, they have a 26-point implied point total. I'd be comfortable playing Jordan Love. I don't know if he's going to be a top five on the week type of guy, but... You're not trying to stream out of Jordan Love? I... I would be fine streaming out of Jordan. I mean, I'd play Justin Fields over Jordan Love. Yeah, okay. I feel pretty decent about Love this week, though. I think Jordan Love has an excellent game and a mediocre fantasy output. That's the question of what point...

Do we feel comfortable putting love out there for Drake May or Jordan Love this week? I would go Drake May for sure. Drake May is playing Miami, right? Yes. Yeah, I feel like love will be all right. It's tough. I think he's got two touchdowns in him. It's tough. And I actually do too. I think he throws two touchdowns and probably has a disappointing fantasy thing. Yeah, he threw two yesterday or this past week. What was he like quarterback 18 or something? Yeah, he was. He didn't run like we were hoping. Right. So that's one of those, you know, I think there are a handful of players. The closest one, I brought him up earlier. I'm not sure if I would. Trevor Lawrence, I think, has a higher ceiling, but also you're playing with fire there because he's not nearly as good a quarterback. You definitely don't have to start love. Jaden Daniels, you do, and he had a bunch of design runs again last week. He also, Mike, what did I tell you his rushing line was when I looked at it? Was it 58?

I thought it was in like the mid-60s. It was really high. And it was like, my goodness. The projected line. The over under for the rushing yardage was like 58 yards or something like that. I'm not sure where it is now. Kyle could probably let us know. Maybe it's a little bit lower than that. But it just still seemed like such a nice floor. Maybe it's 48. Yeah. This is the perfect type of game for Jason. He hit 68 last week. Yeah. Yeah. So we had the. Jacori Crosky Merritt Breakout. Bill Crosky himself. Bill Crosky has a diary. He calls it the Guinness Book of World Records. Okay. All right. You got me pretty good. He got me pretty good. He did the pause. Oh, there's a long pause. Well done. Primetime Bill Crosky. 10 for 82 and a touchdown last week. You got to be so excited, so scared.

to start Bill in this matchup. Well, the, yeah, the first week, Green Bay, that defense, you know, Austin Echler feels like we're in a really weird place with him because he is very much the starter. Wasn't the one with juice last week. I mean, he's solid, but, you know, you finished outside the top 36 for 26 on the ground, only six attempts on the ground. Three catches. Are we going to have sub 10 attempts from him every week? I think you probably will have subten attempts. The where you want him is in the receiving game. I think in a game like this, you know, they won last week against the Giants 21 to 6. This game, I expect them to lose and I expect them to lose heartily. Really? I do. I think the hardily. How do you lose heartily?

I think it did you mean it? There's a bountiful loss. Yes, a bountiful loss. Very heartily, like the great with great heart. I was satiated by my loss. Exactly. The Packers look so good and I know it was one week, but it's not just how they looked at week one. It's the actual personnel, the traveling, how these teams match up. So if they win, if Green Bay wins heartily, as you said, who are the beneficiaries? You saw Jordan Reed or Jaden Reed get into the. in zone last week. Matthew Golden had a very quiet opening week one. You had Romeo Dobbs involved. Tucker Kraft, the touchdown, but not a lot of targets. Only 18 completions by love. Crafton, that's the whole thing, is Kraft and Reed, they caught the touchdowns, so they were fine for fantasy. But it was a very small amount of passing attempts that were divvied up across the whole team. So then what's the expectation with a hearty win?

Yeah. Who's the players that you're most confident in if you're not? Obviously, Josh Jacobs is the primary beneficiary here. I'm not super confident in any of the past catchers for, I mean, this is try to call your shot on a touchdown to me. Honestly, Tucker Kraft. Tucker Kraft to me is a weekly starter. Yeah, I think so. At that position, you don't need to do as much. You know, last week, you know, he had two catches and was fine because he got the touchdown. the targets are going to be spread around in an infuriating manner. And so it's really difficult for me to, you had two receptions for Dobbs, three receptions for Jane Reed, two for Wicks, two for Kraft, two for Golden, one for Jacobs, one for Musgrave, one for Brooks, one for Fitzpatrick, one for Savion Williams. Like Savian got on there? Oh yeah, right on. Yeah, he had, he was the.

the third highest total catches. I mean, with one, it's just really tough when you don't have a consolidation of targets to have, you really, if you want to play a Packer, you've got to say, I believe they're getting a touchdown as a receiver. You're playing Terry McLaren and Debo? Yeah. I can't imagine not playing Debo. No. McClaren, it could take a little time. You talked about missing camp. It could be, but it's like, who are you putting in? If you had them both, which one would you play? Debo. I think the manufactured touches will be there. The running game is usually a little bit easier for the Packers defense. They've got a very good passing defense. And so Tara McLaren down the field, I mean, if you're down a lot, they'll throw the ball more. So I don't think Terry McLaren is someone that by any means you can't start. But it's a matter of do you have, like let's say you drafted Terry McLaren and you drafted Michael Pittman. I'd feel more confident playing Michael Pittman. Really? Against Denver.

Oh, I forgot about that. I forgot about Patrick 13. Um, I'll look further into that. Uh, how about, uh, the waiver hotness, huge or the Washington guys? I think I go huge on Monday night. Oh, man. This is, this is a spicy in week two. Ricky Pearsall. I'd rather play over Tara McLaren. Um, what about Zay Flowers? Yeah, I mean, the problem with Terry is just, you know, he's got to make the most of the limited opportunities probably, the deeper targets. He had four targets in week one. He caught two of them for 27 yards. He's always a big play away. I mean, he was the wide receiver five last year because of big plays.

It's a high over under. In all fairness, he was just overthrown on what would have been a bomb touchdown. It feels like you probably need to stick with Terry for me. I do agree that we should not overreact on one down week from any wide receiver, but Terry McLaurin did not look bad. If that throw from Jaden Daniels was a yard less, then Terry has a great week one. You play him over Tyreek? Yeah. Okay. Mike, do you have any other thoughts on this game? Yeah, the question, I wanted to get some names for Bill because I am nervous about. William. Will he be in this game? Because the Green Bay defense, one game, but like David Montgomery and Jemir Gibbs shut down. And for all the excitement about Bill Kroski, we're not, he's not up at that level of play yet.

Are you playing the aforementioned Jordan Mason takes on the Atlanta Falcons. Would you rather play Mason in that game or Bill? Test your fate with Bill on Thursday. I think those are very close to me. I think I lean Mason. Okay. Jalen Warren against Seattle. I lean Jalen Warren. And let's find one more. I guess let's just stay in the same game. Echler or Bill, who are you playing? Or who would you prefer? I actually lean Echler this week. If you're playing from behind the past catching role, I think I might stay away from Bill after everything you said and where I'm at with it. So Bill feels like a low fringe RB2 type of a play. For me at least. So Bill or Kenneth Walker. Probably Bill. Probably Bill. Yeah, I'll play Bill there. You need to, we need to see it. Agreed. Agreed. All right, let's.

So what's the easiest way or how do you guys decide how much to spend percentage-wise on the position and what positions are more important? How do you guys figure the percentage? We add fab ranges to our waiver wire rankings. So we do give you a baseline of what we think they're worth spending. However, the real true answer, and people don't like it when it's not super, you know, black and white on a certain number, the real true answer is I adjust my bids proportional to my need. If I have a great need for a running back on a roster that's depleted, it's going to be much different than if it's in a very, you know, in a vacuum, I have a full roster and I just try to add somebody to my bench. I'm going to overspend to fill a need on my roster. So I guess I would say use our fab as a guide, but not a, you know, also know your league. Yeah, that's what I'm going to say. This is, it's, it's really, it's a, it's a blind auction. So.

This is you have to beat the other people in your league and know their tendencies. Now, if this is your first- If I go to a blind auction with Jason there, I know I'm going to have to bid up a lot because he's going to buy everything there. Well, is it fancy stuff? It's fancy stuff. Oh, then you bring your wallet. Yeah, you should just leave. You're getting nothing. How much for all of it? I'll take the lot. You know, the- You do need to know. Now, he said this is his first time playing, so you don't know the tendencies of your league. I will say this. If you are, if this is the first time for your entire league playing, if you just switch to an auction, go a little harder than you think. Yes. It's, it's been our experience in new fab leagues that, yeah, everyone's worried that they're going to overspin. And so they just got a couple bucks here, a couple bucks there. Just, just.

Don't just be courageous. Get your guys. To highlight Andy's point, I lost George Kittle. I had to get a tight end. And I, like I said on the show yesterday, there were two tight ends that I fully believe are year-long type of players in Joanne Johnson and Harold Fanon. Now, I had no idea what... other i looked around at my at the teams you know to just get a gauge who needs a tight end and there were a handful of teams that in my estimation were they're going to bid they're going to go after these tight ends so i put in a number where i knew this is going to be an overspent i don't know how much of an overspend but it will be but i got to get this guy so i went 27 on juan johnson which is that's hard to paint for it was an overspend of 20 yeah ended up being 20 now i had a

mid-20 on Harold Fanon should I have not gotten Juan and I would not have gotten Fanon he went for like 30 he went for in the 30s that's so it was I looked at my situation knew I had to get one of those two guys and just accepted I'm burning here's I'm gonna burn some cash but I believe in them and I need them here's what I think is the most important takeaway from that Mike you spent 27 to get one of those two tight ends that you needed the next highest bid was seven yeah so you can say it was a bad bid

In the end, you have Joanne Johnson who you needed. And your team is better because of it. Yeah. It's also very funny because if the bid behind him had been 26, you would have felt like it was the right amount to spend. Exactly. It's the same amount of foul no matter what. It's just a perspective thing, right? Like if I had spent 26 and you had spent 27, you'd be dunking on me. Yes. Like I got him. So, yeah, if you need a player, go get him. So maybe you're hearing this, maybe you're not. All right, Nate and Canada, half PPR league. Should I bench Tyreek Hill for either of these two players? Yes. Keene and Allen? Yes. Or Hollywood Brown? Probably both. Dude. It's amazing how I'm still afraid of seeing Tyreek Hill on the other side of my matchup. I really am. Like, I'm playing somebody this week. They have Tyreek Hill. And I'm still see it. And I'm like, I'm afraid of the big play. And he hasn't had a 30-yard reception in a year. But I'm still scared. Yeah, I mean, I get it. Tua looked terrible against the Colts. Now, that's one week. We don't want to overreact from one week, but it's not just one week. Like for Tyreek, it's one week plus age, plus one year. He was terrible last year. He's probably getting traded. I would say that the chance of him ending the season on the dolphins is very low, very low. Go back to the Chiefs.

Yeah, or someplace that wants to make a push with one dude. Maybe. I think he will be gone. I don't know what that means for your wattle shares or whatever. It's certainly not someone that you can't start. He's going to get a lot of targets. Those other two names I would start over. Hollywood Brown. The Hollywood Brown one is going to feel bad. Because when you're just looking at the floor and the median of what could happen for that. But. If I had the two of them, I think I would do it. Hollywood Brown's story in Kansas City is injuries alone. That's all it is. When he's been on the field for them, he has been targeted at such a crazy rate. He came back at the end of last year, and in limited snaps, he was constantly targeted. He is a very good and capable receiver. And we're talking about, we brought up Juju Smith-Schuster on this show. Correct. Juju Smith-Schuster is not the receiver, Hollywood Brown, currently is. We did have an update here on...

I was, I forget which DB it was. interviewing some great db and it was like who are the best five current wide receivers in the nfl and he was like well chason jefferson of course i think cd a j brown and then he really struggled with five it was like he he puts him in there and you look at last year there were games where two for thirty six for a j brown you know he had some games where he just disappeared and then plenty of awesome ones yeah we may we may be accepting a new reality for a j brown though yeah unnecessary

I was a believer in JSA being a top tier, true top five candidate this year. Malik Neighbors, it was, you don't want to overreact to one good week from JSN and one bad week from Malik Neighbors and be like, okay, like I would probably stay with neighbors. I would. But I don't think it's going to be that much of difference between the two. I, I, I, I.

agree. The gap is not what it was perceived before the season. If you watch the targets, I watched every single Malik neighbor's target last night, they are so, so bad. And I feel bad for him. He had 12 targets. He only caught five of those balls, not his fault. It can't get... Did you, like, when you were watching, did you feel like the all, whatever? The all 22? No, no, no. All incomplete passes were not his fault. Pretty much. I mean, you know, he looked excellent. Malik neighbors looked excellent. But my point here is he had five for 71. That's not a bad game at all when you have awful future. Like the, if that's the floor, amazing.
